A session on the Power of Subconscious Mind was conducted by Mr Satyendra Singh.
Mrs. Prerna Goel from London who has been mentoring through online classes visited Shaktii and had direct interaction with the students.
SHAKTII donated laptops to an organization for the blind to help the blind persons get employment in banks.
Ms Kalyani Basu and Ms Vijaya Ghattargi attended the Creativity Fest of Parisar
Asha which focused on implementation of NEP 2020 to improve the 4 Cs, namely, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication among the students.
A storytelling session was conducted by Ms Roshan Harvansh who has her own initiative called Under the Banian Tree.
A session on nutrition, “Eat to Evolve” was conducted by nutritionist Dr. Sujata Udeshi.
A session on Public speaking was conducted by Ms Rhea Sabherwal and one on art therapy conducted by Ms S. Arunima
Rath Yatra competition was held on 3D still drawing of the three deities, Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra.
A session on Confidence-building was conducted by Ms Mahalakshmi Krishnan.
A dance workshop was conducted by Ms Poonam Lama and her daughter Ms Dechhenn Lama.
A session on Physical and mental health was conducted by Ms. Manisha Jhamb, who runs Mind Buddies, and Mr Shrikanth Aiyer, a brilliant psychologist.
Djembe Drums, Computer Programming, Basics of Photography, Drama/Theatre, and Cooking without Fire sessions were also conducted for the girls at SHAKTII.
Music and Basics of Make-up, were also a part of the Orientation Programme.
Founder’s Day (1 July 2023)
Founder’s Day was celebrated, and the theme was “Breaking the Barriers.” Ms Sheetal Bapat, Director of Shyamchi Aai foundation and Mr Sujan Sinha, Ex-MD, Sriram Housing Finance, were the Chief guests.
Other events of the year:
The first competition of the year was ‘Jai Hind Competition’ was conducted.
TED Talk and a competition were conducted on Teachers’ Day. The girls were made familiar with the format of podcasts.
Dr. Ashwin Pandey taught Garba dance to the girls at SHAKTII. A field trip to Manibhavan was organized in September.
Mr Varun Pratap Singh, a storyteller turned entrepreneur, educated the girls about Shark Tank and start-ups.
Art competition and Rangoli sessions were conducted.
Ms Aparna Nagda conducted a workshop on fiction. The girls also learnt about the various countries, and continents and the world in general.
Spell-Well competition, Science Festival, Maths mania with games and self-defence classes were conducted in December.
The girls learnt about human rights and celebrated National Girl Child Day in January.
The 9th Annual Day was celebrated in February with several performances and presentations by the students.
