Today’s session was about the Dos and Don’ts of Social Media, conducted by Abhishek Gupta. The session began with an introduction of Abhishek Gupta by our mentors
– Sir started by explaining what social media is and also talked about artificial intelligence. He highlighted that social media has both advantages and disadvantages.
– Advantages:
Marketing and promoting businesses
Sharing photos with family and friends
Educational purposes and learning new things
– Disadvantages:
Addiction
Distraction from studies
Don’t do these things on social media
Don’t click on random links, as you may get hacked
Don’t share your personal information
Don’t fill out any forms without asking your parents
Don’t share your location or travel plans publicly
Never share your bank details or passwords
In case you get hacked, report it immediately to Facebook or Instagram, and avoid using that account until you receive a response or confirmation email from them.
– Today’s session was very informative and helpful. Now, we are more aware of how to use social media safely and responsibly.
