– On 9th of January 2026, we had a Hungarian visitor at Shaktii, Gregory Kovac. He is an architect and winner of many awards for his innovative beautiful architecture all over the world. He is a close friend of our mentor Aparna Saxena and he took us all on a tour of his journey of all over the world.
– He showed us a wonderful presentation of right from where he was born, that is Hungary, then the countries he studied, Great Britain and New York ,USA.
– He then showed us all the buildings that he has helped renovate all over the world into absolutely stunning new structures. His expertise of taking old structures and making them into new modern innovative designs without destroying the old structure was visible in each of his designs. Greg’s presentation also included something about the culture and food of each of the places that he has studied and worked. We all found his journey incredible. The girls enjoyed the whole session as it was quite interactive.

It was truly inspiring to experience the dedication and care that underpin everything you do at Shaktii. I was deeply touched by the loving kindness of the young ladies, and by their enthusiasm — whether they were picking up trash together, patiently teaching me Hindi, or engaging so openly in every activity.
The visit was both meaningful and uplifting, and I am very grateful for the time and warmth you shared with me. I hope to see you all again in the near future.
